Elia - Designing spaces, sequencing the move - a successful variation

Complete transformation of the headquarters on Boulevard de l'Empereur in Brussels. Redevelopment of the 6 floors, each of 1,000 m², and implementation of new work dynamics for the 360 employees who work there. GLOBAL's task was to implement the SWOW (Smart Ways of Working) concept created by Elia for its building on Rue Monnoyer. This is the result of a creative collaboration between GLOBAL and Elia.

ELIA VARIETY IN CHOICE OF SPACES.jpg

At Elia, each floor is dedicated to a function. In order to help users find their way around, GLOBAL has assigned each level to a specific function, strong colour, which is used on the walls and carpets.

The staff have taken ownership of all the areas and it works! Even if, at the beginning, this was not part of the company culture. On the ground floor, a hub has been set up for outsiders, the press, partners...

The offered choices have become THE reference for all the seats at Elia. More and more externals are asking to work at the l'EMPEREUR's seat.
